Azealia Banks puts on a lively headline performance at Reading Festival's Radio 1 Xtra Stage
Azealia Banks delivered a lively headline performance on the Radio 1 Xtra Stage at Reading Festival on Saturday (August 29).
The rapper took to the stage wearing a red two-piece with matching red hair while the name 'Azealia' in red flowers lined the back of the set.
Banks kicked off her first track to chants of her name while her two backing dancers proved an entertaining addition throughout her set.
The rapper performed a range of tracks from her debut album Broke With Expensive Taste throughout the course of her 50 minute set, launching into 'Desperado' by shouting "You ready to have a good time?" to the heaving tent.
Getting the crowd clapping, the star soon moved onto 'Heavy Metal And Reflective', providing one of the more energetic points of her performance.
"Let me hear you make some f**king noise," Banks called out to the crowd, receiving a more than obliging response.
The rapper punched a wandering blue balloon back into the audience as she tore through a rendition of 'Chasing Time'. 'Liquorice' soon followed before Banks sent the crowd wild with the a capella opening lines of ultimate crowd favourite '212'.
"Let's make some motherf**king noise," the rapper insisted as she brought her set to a close.
Metallica headlined the main stage at Reading this evening while Mumford & Sonsbrought Leeds to a close.
Tomorrow night will see The Libertines round off Reading Festival while Metallica will play Leeds out.
