Katy Perry channels Liz Taylor in a new photoshoot: "I'm sure I'll be married just as many times!
Katy Perry channels the great Elizabeth Taylor for a new magazine spread - and it turns out that the screen legend might be inspiring Perry in more ways than one.
The 'Dark Horse' popstar dressed up as Liz Taylor for a Harper's Bazaar shoot in which current day stars emulate the style of fashion icons who inspire them.
Perry told the magazine that aside from admiring the Cleopatra actress's incredible beauty, she also finds kinship in her approach to marriage.
"[Liz as] an icon transcends time," Perry said. "Liz was so fabulous and decadent and had a style that evolved with the years... and I'm sure I'll be married just as many times."
Taylor was married seven times, tying the knot with men from hotel magnate Conrad Hilton, Jr and fellow screen legend Richard Burton to politician John Warner and construction worker Larry Fortensky.
So far, Katy only has her brief marriage to Russell Brand under her belt, but could wedding bells someday come for the singer and on-off boyfriend John Mayer?
Icons by Carine Roitfeld and Jean-Paul Goude appears in the September issue ofHarper's Bazaar, on sale August 4.
